Charlie's Blog

The Best Blog EVER!!!! (not really, but I try)

I got excited and wrote stuff

Hello Internet, it’s nice to see you. It’s been a long time, you’re just as lovely as you used to be. Thank you, Mr. Conway Twitty, for writing that song, and I hope you don’t sue me! Who am I kidding? Conway Twitty doesn’t read my blog. Ok, it’s time to get down to business. As the title says, I got excited and creative and wrote something today. I wanted to share it with you, because I like it and am proud of it. I hope you like it too. If you do like it, please leave a comment. It will totally make my day if someone comments on this post! If you don’t like it, then go read some other blog that you like, I guess. So, here is what I wrote today!

I love days like today. It’s cold, but the sun’s glow makes a valiant effort to warm me. The tempature is almost bearable, until the chill wind starts blowing again, ruffling my hair like a playful tousle from an old friend. As I walk towards the big oak tree in our yard, a single brown leaf falls, having finally lost its fight to stay on the branch. Before it hits the ground, the wind catches the leaf and sends it dancing and skipping across the yard. The wind pauses for a brief second, and the leaf comes to a stop beneath another tree. A bird swoops down and scoops the leaf up in its beak, apparently needing it for a nest. The sun realizes the wind has stopped and tries to warm me again. I bask in its glow and breathe a sigh of happiness. I love days like today.

Hey, how about that? I wrote it! Yeah, it’s short, but I am really proud of it. I just wanted to share it with you, and I hope you liked it. So, I am signing off for now. Bye!

  1. Nice. Shows off a subtle sensitive side of the male psyche that we know as “Charlie”.
